New experiences call for new terms, so as we've been out there learning to surf, we needed some terms to describe some of the things that go on out on the high seas :) And sometimes we just needed a good laugh on a frustrating day. Here are some of the things we've come up with over the past year - and feel free to add to this list!
Zsa zsa - when you cant' get out to the lineup without being slapped in the face with wave after wave.
"Dude, how was Mondo's today?"
"Pretty decent, but all Zsa zsa on the paddle out."

Valet surfing - When someone pushes you off into a wave. Usually what happens when you take a lesson.
Mary Poppins - Funny term for a kite surfer.
Liar Wave - a wave that looks really big and good but then looses all
it's steam when it gets to you :) (Celinda's term)
Doing a "Monica Lewinsky" - this is the term for riding the board in
all the way on your knees instead of popping up
Grommet Hunters - Surfer guys that hang out and try to pick up on the
grommet chicks
